Cake Time - Battenburg

It's about time I made an actual cake, and I've been wanting to try a Battenburg for ages. It was much easier than I expected it to be, disregarding the... slight hiccups.

Yes, hiccups... namely the fact that my judgement was way off and the pink 'half' turned out more than twice the size of the other 'half'. But no matter! time for cunning plans...

Yay! I sliced a chunk off the pink equal in size to the white to construct one cake. Loverly (although, whoops, I seem to have used up all the marzipan).

Of course I can't just ignore the rest of the pink... so time for clever plan Part 2...
